VAT Romania has started the construction of the new factory in Arad
VAT Romania has started the construction of its new factory located in VGP Park Arad, a strategic logistics hub adjacent to the A1 highway and major European routes. By 2026, production units, offices and an employee cafeteria will be built under the same roof on an area of 21.000 square meters.
ICCO Smart Solutions joins the builder in this investment and will design, supply, install and commission the low-voltage systems.
The works will be complex and long-lasting. To begin with, the infrastructure for all the systems that will equip the new factory will be created. The video surveillance system will be equipped with over 50 video cameras both inside and outside the site. The access doors will be equipped with proximity readers and magnetic contacts. The installed system will have a dual functionality, fulfilling both the security function and the time management function through the information from the timekeeping terminals. Tens of thousands of meters of cable and hundreds of data sockets will be installed. The IT room will be equipped and equipped with the most efficient equipment. Once the exterior of the site is arranged, we will take care of creating the car and pedestrian access system that will be equipped with turnstiles, barriers and cameras with license plate recognition.
The investment in the development of VAT Romania creates numerous employment opportunities in highly technical fields such as mechanical engineering, automation, CNC turning and milling, as well as in support functions. The factory will also host engineering and IT departments.
The Swiss company VAT, a global manufacturer and supplier of vacuum valves, has been operating in Romania since 2001. The VAT Group is divided into two segments: Valves and Global Services. The Valve segment is a global developer, manufacturer and supplier of vacuum valves for the semiconductor, display, photovoltaic and vacuum coating industries, as well as for the industrial and research sectors. Global Services offers specialized local customer support and provides original spare parts, repairs and upgrades.
